Hey Spinach Lovin’ Superstar! If you’re just popping on board our 3-Day Green Smoothie Challenge, then WELCOME and congratulations! You’re in for a fabulous adventure! No matter what degree of experience you’ve had in raw foods or green smoothies up until now, everything is about to change. For this challenge to work, it has to be something YOU can do, so we’re going to keep it easy! No fancy instructions, equipment or ingredients!  Just fresh fruits or veggies and some type of leafy greens are all you will need.

Let’s start things off with some guidelines, and then I’ve got five easy recipes to get you going and give you some ideas as you prepare for your 3-Day Green Smoothie Challenge in the days to come.

 3 Rules to Help You Succeed on Green Smoothies

Keep it simple, make it fun, and gradually increase the ratio of fruits and vegetables in your meals!

1. Keep it Simple

There’s no reason to get anxious or concerned about your ability to make your meals. Even if you just stick to basic apples, bananas and baby spinach for at least one meal, you’ll still end up feeling great! You don’t need protein powders, fancy ingredients or any mysterious special superfoods. Just fruit, leafy greens and water is a great place to start!

2. Make it Fun

Keep your spirit of play alive and well. We’ve had a lot of “seriousness” about food and it’s time to lighten up literally and figuratively, and embrace the color, freshness and health-boosting properties of the foods you’ll be eating over the next few days!

Only YOU know what it’s going to take to push your limits. This is a challenge, but I can’t apply the same rules for everyone, as obviously each of us is in a different space and set of circumstances.

3. Gradually increase the ratio of fruits and vegetables in your meals.

If this is your first time venturing into raw food or green smoothie experiments, be warned that at first it will seem like A LOT of food. That’s because raw foods tend to have a lot more water and a lot less calories than the concentrated cooked foods you may have been used to eating. Over the next few days, as you prepare for this 3-Day Green Smoothie Challenge, simply concentrate on increasing the amount of greens and fresh food.

Naturally, effortlessly, the processed foods will get shoved aside. An attitude of “avoidance” or “deprivation” will only result in a compulsion toward bingeing. Just focus on more fresh foods, and the rest will come as we guide you in preparation for your 3-Day Green Smoothie Challenge.
