Meet Ayisha: Overcoming Severe Menstrual Cramps on the Raw Food Diet

Every month a lot of women spend time huddled over dealing with the severe pain of menstrual cramps. Ayisha is one of our current self-study participants on the 21-Day Green Smoothie Detox. She’s been cruising along for the last couple weeks, and a few days ago I received this comment from her and just had to share it:

I am COMPLETELY amazed… for the last 10 years I have experienced debilitating menstrual pain (i.e. nausea, severe back pain and cramps).  off work.  Usually, I will consume 8 to 12 extra strength advil each day for the first 1 to 3 days of my cycle.  The only thing that I have changed is my diet for the past 2.5 weeks.  I can’t believe that there is barely any pain. I still have some back pain, but no cramps and no nausea… and even the back pain is somewhat tolerable.  I know I’m supposed to exercise, but I haven’t; however, I would love to see my results if I started to exercise and eat more raw.  Another synchronicity that happened is that I received the “Raw For Thirty Days” video... I watched it this week and that movie sooooooooo inspired me, so now I signed up for the 24 Day Challenge. I would like to change any pain in the body as best as possible with just a change in food, exercise, perspective on life and attitude… I am soooooooooo grateful to you and this organization!
