Last week I sat at the table with my son and sliced up some cucumber to eat – then decided to spread some homous onto each slice like mini pizzas.

We grabbed some pots of seeds, I sliced up some tomato and beetroot as that’s what I had to hand… it was fun creating something from not much! We had so much fun making these little creations for the others to eat when they came home. Luca offered them round like canapes and we had our own mini cocktail party after school 😉

chefWe used hemp, pumpkin and sunflower seeds and sprouts to decorate our mini bites – tomato and beetroot are great for color and at the last moment my son grabbed the basil plant for some final flare!

The great thing is there is no recipe – just make your own with what ever you like. You could sprinkle spirulina or chorella on top, pollen, cut up capsicums, peppers… the possibilities are as wide as your imagination.

Have fun – and let me know how yours turn out. xxx
