How To Build a Living Kitchen

- by Jay and Linda Kordich

When it comes to kitchen work and meal preparation, you may have negative images in your head and heart about feeling as if you are the one who ‘has’ to buy produce, prepare meals, and clean up after the meals because the rest of the family is too busy with their lives. If that’s the case,  you may end up feeling resentful, and unappreciated.

If the above rings true for you, then it’s definitely time to toss those negative thoughts and feelings — You need to feel comfortable and relaxed in your kitchen, and create it into a sanctuary for you and your family.

A healthy kitchen is a living kitchen, and a living kitchen is a manifestation of truly believing that specific appliances and loving attitudes will actually make your kitchen, your food, your attitude and your life comes alive!

How To Get Your Kids To Eat Their Greens

How To Get The Kids On Board with JUICING!

- by Jay and Linda Kordich

We have raised two boys, who are now in their late 20?s.  One of our children was so finicky, he would gag at the thought of eating cooked vegetables, or even if certain foods were touching other foods on the plate. This went on for years and years.

It was incredibly frustrating for us, but through ingenuity and patience, we have found a solution for even the finickiest of eaters!

Linda Kordich Reveals Why Digestion is the #1 Key to Superior Health!

Written by Danielle on July 15, 2011 – -

Digestion is the #1 Key to Superior Health!

by Linda Kordich

Drawing on over 40 years experience in juicing, living and natural foods, in 2006 Linda Kordich helped to write and produce the “Live Foods, Live Bodies” program with her husband ‘Juice Daddy’ Jay Kordich. She now accompanies Jay around the world teaching, inspiring and motivating people to eat more living foods.  You’ll love this personal insight into how Linda came to know the incredible power of juicing as an aid to digestion.  According to Jay and Linda, effective digestion is the #1 key to obtaining superior health.

Here’s her story…

For many decades, I have had the privilege to be married to Jay Kordich, the Father of Juicing.  Yet, prior to me meeting Jay, I had come from a family of Vegetarians and big juicing advocates.  Ever since I was a child, I could hear the roar of that juicer running every afternoon after I came home from school.  I am grateful to my mother for doing this for me.  It changed my life forever, and I had no idea at the time, that juicing would play such a pivotal role in my life.  Carrot/apple/celery was always on the menu, and even at the age of 11 or so, I felt it was one of the only real things my mother did for me that made me feel special.

Raw Mom Cooked Dad Day 9: Lorenna Kacera, Darrel Schlereth & Jay and Linda Kordich

Written by Tera on October 18, 2010 – -

Okay, now I’m sitting here all boogery-nosed and teary-eyed feeling like I’ve found a few thousand new sisters in the world.

Thanks SO much for your comments and your courage. I know we do put it all out there in a certain way, and there’s never a guarantee that people will like what we do, but your kind appreciation and heart-felt comments have me all choked up this morning.

Today’s blog winner is Adrienne, and here’s what she said (I can SO see myself in these comments):

Ok, I’m undone. I felt so silly that I had prepaid for the pamper-pack in expectation. Then when I pressed that submit button I did that “Oh golly! What have I just done? I am so skint and here I am spending money on interviews…” But I believe now that I have just made the best investment of my life. I have loved all the interviews (topics), the interviewees, and the interviewers. I think of a question and Tera and Fiona ask it. Here I am with my headphones in still listening to the liquid bubbles Sheri and Tera and my tears are streaming. I think this is the best part of the raw lifestyle – it is a lifestyle, it is holistic living. Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou.divalicious-cover

Thank YOU, Adrienne for supporting us and making an investment in the Relax Pack and the time to listen to these calls and learn from them! We have some exciting announcements to make still about the Relax Pack, but I can guarantee you and Fiona and I are both committed to making sure this IS the best investment anyone has ever made!

Today’s blog comment winner gets a copy of ‘Divalicious’ for something simple sexy & raw :) So let us know what you think of our great line up today and connect with one another too.

Now, the fun isn’t over yet! We’ve got some exciting calls planned for today, too!

It’s time to start another gorgeous day in your Life and this one is going to go down in the history books as the day you let love reign.

Today’s interviews are about love–what it takes to make it work, how to stick together in the face of obstacles, and some good ol’ fashion practical tips that help a relationships stand the test of time.

These are some of my favorite calls. Here’s a little more juice on each one of them:

lorenaLorenna Kacera

One day I’m going to trek to the province next door and go visit Lorenna and her amazing husband Shantree and soak up everything they know like a sponge. Lorenna has wise words for lovers and shares them graciously on this call. It’s a powerful, beautiful thing to see a relationship that works, and Shantree and Lorenna are definitely modeling love at its finest. I wanted to find out her secrets of what makes their relationship a success, and I believe you’ll be really touched and moved by the things she shares in this interview.

darrel1

Darrel Schlereth

I’m quite sure this conference would have been called: Raw Mom Cooks Dad if Darrel Schlereth hadn’t saved the day. THIS is my family counselor, and you’re going to get a good sense of why when you listen to this call. Have you ever been in the presence of a person who just seems to be able to iron out the wrinkles of Life without a second thought? Darrel’s got solutions to all kinds of kinks and bumps that come up for a couple when they’re traveling down the road to life.

jay-and-lindaJay and Linda Kordich

Jay and Linda brought the message of raw food, juicing and healthy living to millions of people around the world. Jay was “The Juiceman” and there’s even a Saturday Night Live skit about him! (It’s hilarious!) Anyway, I figured that if they could bring the message to millions, the surely they’d have tips for how to bring it to one, handsome cooked food dad. And they did. Jay and Linda had their children when they traveled around doing shows and getting the world hooked on parsley juice. They’ve got great tips and suggestions for families, aaaaaand, though I wasn’t expecting it to happen at all, they’ve also got the greatest love story ever told….

Access to Our LIVE Q&A Call for the Grande Finale

As promised, we’ll be doing a LIVE Q&A call, and our special guest for this call with be Angelina Elliott. We’ve chosen her because she’s been a 100% raw foodist for a long time, relatively speaking.
She’s a culinary chef, a nutritionist, herbalist, wild food specialist, and (of course) a Raw Mom with a Cooked Dad in the house. We also feels she’s got the love, compassion and understanding to bring an inspiring finish to our Raw Mom Cooked Dad event.

Book your calendar for Wednesday afternoon at 4:00pm EASTERN.

IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS you’d like us to try and address, please send them in HERE. We can’t promise we’ll get to all of them, but we’ll do our best to get as many as we can. If you won’t be there for the call, it will be recorded and we’ll make the recording available within minutes of the call being finished.

You can access everything you need to know about this call HERE! We’re very excited about this and a few other surprises, so hope to get the chance to speak to you personally very soon!!

Love and hugs,
Tera and Fiona

Flowers for You!

Written by Stacey on June 17, 2009 – -

DSCN0772

Hello! It’s Jo here. I do apologize for my lack of blogging action over the past few weeks – let’s just say, it’s been a very, very busy time here at Raw Mom HQ, as (along with bringing you the amazing Raw Mom Summit) we shepherd our latest baby through the design stage. Which baby, I hear you ask? Why, my beautiful raw food recipe e-book for kids!

I can’t wait to unveil it for you – but I must be patient, and know that its birth is imminent. I am one proud mama!

But I wanted to send a little love your way, and what better than with a dose of beauty in the form of a picture of gorgeous roses? The roses are placed lovingly in the laundry sink (whispered aside: I wish my laundry sink looked like this!) of Vicki Archer, an expat Australian who restored, to perfection, an old farmhouse in Provence.

If you’re a Francophile who’d like to indulge in a little escapism, head to Vicki’s “French Essence” blog at http://www.frenchessence.blogspot.com/ – or lose yourself in her luscious, padded-cover coffee-table book, My French Life. This sumptuous book reveals the journey of the farmhouse’s restoration, provides a taste of provincial French life and its people, and is filled with the beautiful photography of the talented Carla Coulson.

Until next week, sending you scented-blossom hugs and wishes for carefree summer days…

Love Jo

Special Guest Teleseminar: Jay and Linda Kordich on Building Healthy Families

Written by Tera on June 10, 2009 – -

As part of the lead-up for The Raw Mom Summit, I thought I would spend time focusing on people that have some wisdom and experience to share about motherhood and parenting. It just so happens that the Father of Juicing himself is available this Friday afternoon and he and his wife will be joining me for a SUPER inspirational teleseminar.

Jay Kordich started his introduction to this lifestyle almost 60 years ago after an unfortunate cancer scare. Jay was “The Juiceman” and his name rang through the household walls of millions of people. (Even Jim Carey, the comedian, did a spoof on Jay. I watched it this morning for a giggle.)

They say behind every great man is a great woman, and in this case  there certainly is no exception as the love of Jay’s live is also the marketing and business development wizard that helped make the Juiceman rave happen.

I’m honored to be able to bring these two to the airwaves for an inspiring teleseminar on Friday afternoon. You can read a lot more about both of them on their website. They have a wealth of resources and experiences from which you can learn.

I’ve asked both of them to come to share some of their perspectives on what it takes to have a healthy family and to share some of the experiences they had growing through this movement. I just know you’re going to looove this call, because what few emails I’ve shared back and forth with Linda have been a real treat!

HERE is where you access the information for this call!

Tune in Friday and I look forward to speaking with you then!!

Love and hugs,

Tera
