Blueberries are a versatile fruit great in smoothies, on cereal, and in recipes.  My kids devour them frozen.  Just wash a pint of blueberries and then freeze the berries!  I leave them right in the pint container.  My kids come and take them out of the freezer by the handfuls.  They make a great healthy, cooling treat on a hot day.

Elderberries

Elderberries are not as commonly known as blueberries, but offer many great health benefits.Elderberries offer many great health benefits.

Elderberries can:

Elderberries are  also great in juices, and are great on top of cereals, in yogurt, or on ice cream. They make a delicious jam, as well.

Pomegranates

Pomegranates are an interesting fruit to eat.  Most kids love to eat them as they have such a unique texture and taste.  My kids love the popping of the seeds.

Pomegranates are a great source of antioxidants which help fight:

They also boost your immune system, helping to fight and prevent colds and flu.

Pomegranates are a great addition to a fruit salad.
They can be eaten on their own but do have a bit of an acquired flavor.

Pomegranate juice has become popular, but remember that store bought juice has few nutrients left by the time you drink it.

Tart Cherries

Cherries are great to help alleviate insomnia, reduce heart disease, reduce chances of developing diabetes, and reduce inflammation in the body.

Cherries are great to help:
