When bite sized commercial and chemically produced confectioneries call your name in this
next week, you can resist the temptation and know you’re celebrating this harvest holiday by indulging in the richness of fruits and vegetables. Believe me, getting your full serving of fruit and vegetable never tasted so goooood and your kids will LOVE the festive feasts of ooey, gooey, green juices every day.
Use these recipes as inspiration for your own creations and don’t be afraid to substitute ingredients depending on what’s available for you locally and in season. Above all, HAVE FUN!
- 2 cups water
- 2 sweet apples
- 1 cup organic frozen blueberries
- 3–4 large stalks celery
Blend water with apples and frozen blueberries. – Add in the celery stalks and blend until smooth. – It’s a boo-tiful combination!
- 1 cup grapefruit juice (freshly squeezed)
- 1 sweet apple or two
- 1 head fresh parsley
- Blend apple and grapefruit juice until smooth.
- Add your greens a handful at a time.
Look smashingly fresh, feel splendidly good, inspire people to ask you what you’re doing to look so vibrant and take your simple green smoothie secret to the grave. 😉
- 1–2 bananas (frozen)
- 1 mango
- 2 dates (soaked & pitted)
- 1 cup blackberries
- 1 cup spinach
- 1 cup dino kale
- 1 Tbsp. raw cacao powder (optional)
- water as needed to blend
- Blend water and fruits until thoroughly mixed.
- Add greens, a handful at a time.
- Add your “mud” (cacao) at the end.
This will definitely create a dark-as-dirt green smoothie.
The taste of the greens will be masked with all the yummy fruit… and the chocolate taste doesn’t hurt either!
