The Day Everything Changed

It was about 11 years ago. I had a 6-month old son and a 2-year old daughter in tow. Recently divorced, I was running a home day care and developing an “aromatherapy” business on the side. I remember bringing my Dad my business plan to ask him what he thought.
“Tera,” he said. “What did Mary Kay sell?”
“Cosmetics.” I naively chimed with enthusiasm.
“No.”
*insert dramatic pause here*
“She sold something to belong to and something to believe in.”
While I make NO recommendation for her products, at 45-years old Mary Kay Ash wanted to start a revolution that would boost the self-confidence of women. It wasn’t about the lipstick, it was the fact that a woman experienced a transformation. She felt changed, empowered, radiant, confident, empowered and capable. It wasn’t the powder puff, or the wrinkle cream, but the friendship, the community, the opportunity and the dream. What started as a book to empower women in sales, led to an international movement that touched millions.
I’ve spent the last 11 years spiritually chewing on that morsel of wisdom my Dad passed along to me and I think I’ve figured a few things out now.
A Modern Movement for Women’s Self-Confidence
I believe women of world are ready for a new kind of self-confidence revolution.
For the last 6 years we’ve been building and polishing and perfecting our online programs and systems and in 2014 we’re taking things to a whole, new level.
We’re going to release a brand new lifestyle design product line for beauty, home, health and personal care in a way that has never been done before and it’s is sending waves of wild enthusiasm through our team right now!
But a project on this scale demands more than a few inspired and determined women. As we prepare for this international expansion, it has become clear that we need to bring 1000 new team members on board.
Yup.

We’ve ironed out the kinks. We’ve learned a few lessons the hard way and now we’re ready to prepare for worldwide expansion and you could be a part of it.
Coming up in January, I’ll be conducting a one-time-only series of webinars designed to share my most earth-shaking, truth-baking, trouble-making ideas about what’s gone wrong in the world of women’s health and how we intend to fix it.
While this is a feel-good series of calls that anyone will enjoy, I’m releasing them as a pre-screening tool to help us choose the most likely, most qualified (and I don’t mean credentials!) most promising candidates to come on board and be a successful part of our team.
These webinars will be happening in January after the hustle and bustle of the holidays are behind us.
