Raw Food Salad Dressing Recipes Your Liver Will Love

by Guest Blogger

Well, now that we know all the liver-loving benefits of our greens, and several ways to enjoy them as smoothies, juices and raw soups, how about salads?   We couldn’t possibly put any old salad dressing on those lovely greens.  Only a liver-nourishing  salad dressing would be worthy. Try some of these yummy dressings and you’ll have no trouble at all consuming bowl after bowl of salad greens.  You’ll definitely be asking for seconds, thirds …

Favorite Ginger Dressing

  • 1 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup tamari
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons minced fresh ginger root
  • ¼ tsp dry mustard
  • 2 tsp honey
  • ground black pepper to taste

Directions:

Whisk together tamari, lemon juice, garlic, ginger, mustard, honey and pepper. Once these are thoroughly combined, add the oil in a steady stream, whisking constantly. When all of the oil is incorporated into the dressing, pour into a glass jar and chill until serving.

  • 1/2 cup raw tahini
  • 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice or lime juice
  • 1/4 – 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 – 1/2 teaspoon himalayan sea salt

Directions:

Blend all of the ingredients until smooth, adding more water as needed (or you can use a mixture of water and oil if you’re aiming for an extra creamy, rich dressing)
