Raw Food Recipe: Strawberry Patch Ice Lollies

Strawberry Patch Ice Lollies

– from Monkey Mike

In the USA they are called popsicles. In the UK, icy frozen treats are called ice lollies.  Everyone calls them delicious!

If it’s summer in your part of the world then kick back with this super-easy, three-ingredient recipe! Parents and kids alike can whip up a frozen treat in minutes.

Strawberry Patch Ice Lollies

Raw Fodd Recipe: Strawberry Patch Ice LolliesIngredients:

  • 20 strawberries
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 4 teaspoons raw honey or agave

Directions:

Step 1:  Chop the green hulls off the strawberries, and cut each strawberry in half. Put the pieces in the blender.

Step 2:  Add the water and honey or agave to the blender and blend for at least 15 seconds.

Step 3:  Carefully pour the strawberry mixture from the blender into each of the ice lolly molds, until they are filled to at least ½ an inch (1cm) from the top. If you have leftover mixture, drink it from the spoon!

Step 4:  Put the plastic ice lolly handles into each mold, and carefully carry the molds over to the freezer. Freeze the lollies for at least 8 hours.

Step 5:  When you’re ready to eat the ice lollies, run the sides of the molds under hot water for about 10 seconds. This helps loosen the frozen strawberry mix away from the sides of the molds.

Step 6:  Serve – and slurp away!
