Skin Health & Food

by Stephanie Holland

No one can introduce the importance of food for healthy, glowing, radiant, soft, supple skin better than our very own Dr Ariel Policano:

Who out there would like glowing, clear, gorgeous skin?

Of course, I don’t think there is one person who would say that this isn’t ideal. Getting there and maintaining healthy skin in our world today can be a real challenge!

Let’s really understand the physiology of the body and how it can enhance or compromise the look of skin overall including our complexion!

It seems that skin is one area that we are willing to spend quite a lot of money in various applications and treatments. Relentless pursuit of external applications for beautiful healthy skin can be ultimately disappointing.

Why is this?

It is because like many other things in our lives, beautiful skin is absolutely an inside to outside process! You can’t get away with a poor diet of sugar and processed foods without ultimately seeing it in your skin!

Yikes!

The health of your body is communicated to the world though your skin.

A sluggish liver or kidneys can literally be seen in your face. Liver health is often related to those annoying acne outbreaks, whether it is poor hormonal health or toxins that are not being eliminated effectively by the colon, liver or kidneys literally forcing their way through the skin!”

Food & Skin Health

Healthy liver kidneys and colon for beautiful skin?  And all I have to do is eat my greens (and other colourful fruits, veggies, herbs, nuts, seeds and Superfoods??)!!

Count me in!
