Daniel Aaron Inspires the Women of WISH to Stop Sucking in Their Stomachs and Get Over Themselves
Written by Tera on April 7, 2011 – -Believe me when I tell you that Bali’s most loved yogi, Daniel Aaron, inspires the women of WISH (in the most loving way possible) to stop worrying about their bodies–to breathe, to move and to embrace complete self-acceptance. To access this call, and all the calls, register for the FREE WISH summit on any of our pages.

When you look down at the layer of pudge around your gut, when your thick thighs rub and you strut your stuff with that scrumptious dimpled rump,
How do you feel?
It’s not about trying to fit into a size 5 skirt or getting your skin to match some anti-aging cosmetic ad. It’s about making a decision to live in alignment with the greatest vision of the grandest life you can possibly imagine. It’s about a commitment to make choices and take actions that support you and your vision.
When you do that, no dimpled rump or pudgy gut will ever knock you down. And from the sweet space of loving yourself, there will only be one question to ask yourself.
How good can it get?
Way on the other side of the world from where I am, amidst rice paddies and coconut palms, is a man who has committed his life to answering that very question. Daniel Aaron is here with us now all the way from Bali to help you get a taste of what it means to be radiantly alive.
Here are some of the questions I asked him during this interview
Sometimes the word Yoga sets off fire alarms for people who have other spiritual beliefs. Can EVERYONE access the benefits of what you’re going to share with us today without feeling it somehow conflicts with their personal spiritual beliefs? Can it just be about breath and body and can we leave room for people to insert their own ideas of God/spirit into the mix?
We see you doing headstands and handstands and powerful twists that look impossible to most of us. It’s hard for us to imagine you ever had extra weight, or struggled with your self-image. Can you talk to us a bit about your own journey. What did you have to move through and overcome to get to where you are now?
You’ve taught hundreds, thousands of people to really get in communication with their body, their breath, themselves in a powerful way.
What have you observed to be some of the barriers that prevent this from happening?
Talk to us about some of the transformations you’ve observed in others, specifically. In terms of their relationship with themselves and their bodies.
What was key in making these transformations happen?
There is a woman listening to this call who has 80+ pounds to lose. The idea of being able to wrap her legs around her neck, nevermind get up off the floor can be intimidating.
Where can she start?
We’re so heavily marketed images of bean pole bodies as THE ideal for a woman’s body, that those of us with a few curves can really get stuck on 5 extra pounds, nevermind 50! As a man who spends a lot of time looking at scaldly clad bodies, can you talk to us about what you’ve observed real beauty to be about?
So much of what you do is out of the ordinary. You’re going against the grain on so many different things. Tells us what gives you the strength to persist in the face of adversity, to do what no one else seems to have the courage to do. It’s NOT easy to commit to our well-being.
I know you’re very passionate about healthy eating. Talk to us about what a healthy relationship with food looks like to you.
We can’t all come and downward dog with you for four weeks. What are some of the principles that you teach in your classes that we can apply to our lives wherever we are? Give us a taste of who you are and what you share with the world that we can apply to our lives starting the moment this call ends.
