I woke up this morning with the news that our dear pick-up truck driving friend whom we thought was going to be available on Friday to help us move is not… but is here today instead!

Boy did I jump at that news.

We’ve been working on this move for the last 2 weeks but even bumping it up a day made  for a scramble.

How was I to manage?  I had neglected to prepare for my day last night.  No
quick and easy food to be found and I needed energy.

Green smoothies to the rescue!  Here’s what got my motor running today.

Doll’s Quick Energy Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • leafy greensstrawberries (I used 6 since that’s what I had left)
  • 1 cup rejuvelac (I had some in the fridge)
  • 1 scoop rice protein powder
  • 1 stalk celery
  • 3 handfuls of greens

Directions:
Blend and enjoy! (and I did)

As I moved from room to room, packing and sorting, I had my green smoothie jug with me.  Yummy and energy filling.

I love that I can quickly blend up a smoothie and be ready to go.
