Commit to Fit (Day 8) Toned Thighs and a Tight Butt
Written by admin on July 1, 2010 – -OKay, so first thing I gotta say is I LOVE PETE CERQUA!
He doesn’t waste a moment of my time. He just says it like it is. Gets it out and gets to the point! I seriously can’t wait to win one of his Vooks, because it’s going to rawk my bottom tight.
Here’s Pete doing a quick demonstration of the wall sit and plank position we’ve been trying to do every day. There were some good additions to the instructions I hadn’t noticed before:
This afternoon, while the sun was still out, I went for a 2-hour bike ride with MAC (the man in my life). It was great to power up the hills, but I noticed I had a harder time getting up than usual. Felt like hard work. Maybe my thighs have just been getting a bit of an extra workout during my 90-second power sessions.
How are you doing on your challenge? It’s pretty quiet out there? If you want to win that book, I’ve got to hear from you! In the vook that Pete is sharing with us, we’ll get to see more of the advanced exercises, too! I can’t wait!
Love and long legs,
Tera
P.S.
The friendly folks at Vook sent us another video. One more. Now, you’re going to see Pete in action at double speed, but there’s SO much information in there AND an entire new set of exercises you’ve never tried yet! Get ready! Tomorrow is Day 9 and we’re going to try a few new things!!!

First thing in the morning!!! that works for me! just after doing my beauty routine, body brush and all that, after doing a sprint clean up of the bathroom, 90 secongs wall sit and 60 seconds the plank, I was proud of me!
And I like the fact that my kids see me doing it!!!
It’s not a lot but it makes a difference! and I realize that I could do so many things “like that”…like doing a little bit a day instead of waiting and procrastinate with the things I want to accomplish in life…

I just love his videos! I love Pete too!
Today went well. I wish I could’ve gotten a walk in also, but so glad I got Pete’s exercises in!
Totally off topic…I am having some problems with “elimination” TMI? I have been doing a green smoothie cleanse, and eating some raw veggies, but things aren’t moving. Is that normal?? I would think all of those fruits and veggies would be cleaning me out, but it’s just the opposite. Is this typical? Am I supposed to be doing some sort of bowel cleanse at the same time? Sorry so off topic!!!!

I am SO glad to see this video! I’ve been doing the plank exercise wrong for days now — could not understand how ANYONE could do the plank for more than 30 seconds! I listened to the call last week and misunderstood — I thought Pete Cerqua said to do a pushup for 90 seconds (to lower down to the ground and then come back up over the course of 90 seconds)! Oh my gosh, that was HARD!!!! It’s too late now for me to try this revised plank but I will try it first thing in the morning! With my kids (who have also been doing the exercises with me and also couldn’t do the type of pushup I was trying!) Happy me!

PS: up to 80 seconds on the wall sit and 28 on the wrong plank position! Wait till tomorrow when my plank time will soar!

Hei Yvonne, good for you! Thanks for those videos my routine started to expand a little
Now is’s 90-90-90
I added the one were you lie on your stomach and raise arms and legs. Niiice. Good for your back.
Yvonne!
Your whole body is cleansing anyway, bowels will come soon! You will be ok. I had the similar thing too. I think it maybe too little water with too much fiber, which wasn’t chewed well enough. You can try to make soups or even juices from your veggies. Your fruit smoothies can be sweeter and smoother or more watery. It helped me. Big glass of orange juice for example, or some other juicy, really sweet and sour stuff can probably help you.
If it will not work, you can try to eat a little avocado with maybe some spicy stuff, it will “switch on” your liver, to get some bile there which will help to move things on.
And yes, colonics are always good it such situation!
You are doing very well sister! I’m really glad of you!

Hei Yvonne!
Here are my favorite recipes for good bowels:
Ginger smoothie:
Sweet melon or pears, ripe banana and a piece of ginger.
The more sweetness and the more ginger – the stronger effect will be.
And the Mad “chocolate milk”:
Big bunch of roman salad with stems, couple of sweet oranges – blended and strained through nutmilk bag.
Bitterness+sweetness will help to activate your liver.
Good bowels to you!

Hmmm, my comment from day 8 here did not come through here, wonder why. I’m a little tired but the excersices get done!
Anyway, there are some good yoga movements for bowel movements out there, hard to describe, but they involve rotating pelvis and a little dance like movements, I’m sure you can find them on google. It’s the ones the use in there bowel cleanses at Yoga places, my partner uses them when things get slow. Looks like a neat little dance. Try it!

Renata, thank you so much for the encouragement, the info, and the recipes!!! I didn’t know the information about the liver producing bile to get things moving. I find that extremely interesting and very helpful!! I am having the melon/ginger smoothie right now, and it’s wonderful. So refreshing!! I think you were probably right on when you said too much fiber with not enough water! I will work hard to change that.
Helene, I am going to google the yoga poses, thank you also! I have high hopes because of y’alls help that I will be feeling much better very soon!

So glad for you Yvonne! Keep up a good mood
Thank you Helene for reminding about yoga for digestion! I found this one,

I wish I could be happy about these excercises. Can I get something for someone with bad knees. Even funnier, I live in a very small house and could not find an empty wall. Can he provide some exercises one can do in a chair at work?
