Commit to Fit (Day 7) Meet Pete and Check Out Some New Exercises!
Written by admin on June 30, 2010 – -OKay, Ladies. Our friends from Vook managed to hook us up with some video entertainment for the final leg of our 10-Day Challenge. I don’t know about you, but I’ve been so inspired by your little comments. Just knowing you’re out there expecting me to be here, too, makes me get up against the wall.
Yesterday I didn’t manage to make it happen, but I totally agree with Isobel on the fact that getting them done first thing in the morning is key.
Rhythms. Rituals and predictable patterns. These are the kinds of things that really help anchor us to our commitments. So, I’m going to try doing it first thing in the morning after my new beauty routine.
For the fitness, I did manage to get a bit of a bike ride in yesterday, and since my boyfriend and I are feeling all warm and fuzzy again, well, I’ve been feeling fairly physically active in general. *blush* *wink* I would LOOOVE to talk more about the tools we’ve been using to improve our relationship and communication. It’s REALLY exciting. I’ve been working more and more with communication and relationships because I see what a difference it makes in people’s well-being. When our relationships and communication are out of what, everything is out of whack.
Anyway, we’ve been working with an amazing person here and last night just got me so excited and inspired. I’ve decided that I’ll be doing a communication “cleanse” in August. I was working on the different elements of this program last night and I can’t think of a time I’ve ever been THIS excited to do a project.
Oh sure, I love detox and weight loss programs and other things like the WISH Summit. But this communication “cleanse” is just dynamite. There’s no way to fail. There are no fancy ingredients or machines or supplies or shopping lists. You just need to muster up the courage to look at your relationships and communicate! Observe how you are in relationship to other people then do something about it. I am SO excited about it and promise to keep you posted as August draws near.
Since this is our fitness challenge, though, let’s check out this video from Pete and see what the king of fast fitness tips has to say:
Meet Pete:
WOW! Did you see those crazy new exercises that were NOT in our assignment? I want the vook! I want the vook!!!!
You are a total RAWKstar for being here. I love doing these with you and I’m TOTALLY excited after having watched this video about trying out the other exercises in Pete’s Vook! I think I should count for a free copy, too, don’t you?
We’re getting ready to re-release the Body Enlightenment System after a long time out at the spa, and I’m really feeling like Pete’s going to be the PERFECT fitness coach for that program! Love this stuff!
And love you, too, Sunshine! Keep going! Doesn’t watching this video just make you want to get up and try something else??
GO FOR IT!

Hello! That’s a good pointer about communication cleansing! Actually Isobel, I always do my excercises at the last minute, just before I brush my kids teeth I squeeze in this time for me. I’m such a slow starter in the morning, it would never work for me then. When I was younger sans kids and got the sleep I needed, yes, maybe, but nowadays I need to wake up slowly. My excersises on day 7 seven: still 90 secs of each, but they are still a challenge, they are not getting easier really. Now I’m off to find my headphones to watch the new videos and later today try the new exercises. Have a great day all you faboulous ladies!!!

I watched the videos now, and they look great. I’m a little confused though… is it supposed to be a 90 sec a day workout or a weekly short (6-8 min) workout? I really hope I could win the book or Vook
to figure it out. Looks so simple and possible, and not something that you would quit again. And I think I got the diet covered

Oh, Marie! It’s sounds so cute, you do it breastfeeding your baby

Wonderful!
And the relationship cleanse is just beautiful idea. The only difficulty for me is that I don’t have almost any relationships. I have a few friends, but I meet them maybe once in a month… I would really like to change it, but afraid to lost my comfortable quite little world.
Today’s 90-90 practice was little bit easier to do, so I really looking forward to start with a whole program. I tried and liked these exercises in video, will try to perform them for a longer time later today
Sunny vibes to everybody!

I have only missed one day so far!!! I love this, it’s so fast that I know I can get it done, I already feel stronger too. I even have a “cut” looking muscle in my arm that was not there before!!!! Tonight I even threw in some other yoga poses. I have a 6 year old son who has Angelman Syndrome. He doesn’t walk, and actually is so darn wiggly when I pick him up, that I spend a lot of time at the chiropractor!!! I have been saying for SO long, that I need to get stronger, because he definitely just keeps getting bigger. Yet, I hadn’t kept up with anything because I just don’t have an hour and a half a day to workout! He needs constant supervision when awake, and I homeschool him and his 17 year old sister, so not a lot of time for me. This really gives me HOPE that I can get stronger without taking tons of time!! I would love the VOOK! Thanks again for sharing Pete with us, and for sharing your own daily struggles with us.

I bought Pete’s book – 90-Second Fitness Solutions & it was standing on my bookshelf for a while. After I read about your 10 day challenge, I told myself that I need to start NOW! Thank you for your encouragement. I really need this!
My Day 1: On 6-30-2010, I walked 25 min, did the Wall Sit 59 seconds, did the Plank 90 seconds. Looking forward to finishing 9 more days! I have been on a great diet for years.

Those are some seriously intense exercises! Of COURSE you need a free copy of the book Tera, it must be on its way to you right at this moment. We all need the Vook!
The relationship tools sound great, would love hear more about them. I just started a “30 Days of Positive Attraction” challenge on my blog, to see what changes I can make in my life just by focusing on feeling good.
Got off to a great start today with 90 wall and 60 secs plank for the first time! I seriously impress myself sometimes
Thanks for being so transparent with us as well Tera – your honesty is truly appreciated.

My Day 2: On 7-01-2010, I did the Wall Sit 60 seconds & the Plank 90 seconds (arms are shaking). Looking forward to finishing 8 more days! I CAN do it! : ) The Wall Sit is more challenging than I think.
