A Special Teleseminar with Kristen Suzanne in Celebration of Mother’s Day
Written by Tera on May 5, 2010 – -
I’m delighted to share with you about a very special teleseminar that we’re doing in honor of Mother’s Day. If you don’t know Kristen Suzanne, then here’s your chance to get to know a friendly, feisty woman offering great things to the world and preparing for her first mother”s day as a MOM!
Kristen Suzanne, a Raw vegan chef, author and blogger with a passion for helping people succeed with the Raw vegan diet. She’s been studying nutrition, fitness, and food preparation for 15 years. Her passions for animals, food, health, and the environment are the driving factors behind her business’ mission. I live in Arizona with my husband and rescued dog, where we love and enjoy the constant sunshine, mountains, and palm trees. She’s recently launched a Green Mommy Blog – A Sassy & Fun Guide To All Things Green And Mommy Related and she’s excited to share her discoveries with other Raw Mom readers!
Here’s a bit about Kristen’s unusual, but super-inspiring story of how her budding family sprouted itself about 8 months ago!
“I hoped to have two children some day and my husband and I weren’t getting any younger – lol. When some months passed without conceiving we started getting checked out and found that we had a little challenge in the fertility department with my husband. Nothing tragic, but the docs basically said it could take us longer if doing it naturally. We opted to speed things up with a process called Mini-IVF to which I became pregnant doing a natural cycle with it. Basically no stimulation but they plucked out my healthy egg and fertilized it with his sperm and placed it back into me. Voila – pregnant! I’m supposedly pretty fertile, healthy, etc.. so it was a matter of helping the sperm get to the egg. We went to NY for this process.
My pregnancy is all vegan, mostly raw, but I have days where I’m moderately raw. As organic as possible. I had terrible all day morning sickness from about weeks 7-14. I started walking as my main form of exercise in the 2nd trimester. No chocolate during the first tri, but I’ve had my share during the 2nd and 3rd – lol. We did hypnobirthing for our birth classes. We’re planning a homebirth with a midwife and doula. My midwife says I’m in great health with my diet, urine analysis and blood work always comes back sparkling.”
…finally now she’s only a few weeks away from meeting her little muffin for the very first time and we want to celebrate! And, we want to take this opportunity to ask some of the most common questions we receive about pregnancy, breastfeeding and raising children on the Raw Food Diet.
In order to participate, here’s what you need to do:
In honor of Mother’s Day, and in particular celebrating this mother’s very first mother’s day, I thought we could come together and share wisdom, stories, inspiration and support! We all know the big day is coming and so I thought we could power her up with well-wishes and motherly inspiration.
All you have to do is fill out this sentence:
My wish for you on this, your first Mother’s Day as a new mom, is…_______.
Click here and put your wisdom and well wishes in the comment box on the left of the screen. I’ll share it with her on the call.
If you would like to ask her questions about her journey, go ahead and send those in, too. You can even join us for a live chat with other mothers from all around the world. Just be sure to tune in live for this call on Friday at 3:00pm Eastern! All the information can be found here!
**MARK THIS IN YOUR CALENDAR SO YOU DON’T MISS OUT!**
*If, for any reason, you can’t make it to the call, it will be recorded. You’ll just come back and click on the same link to access the call, and the recording will be posted. Feel free to share this call with any other expecting and experienced moms out there. This is intended to be shared with everyone in the marvelous, mulitasking Mom community.

Thanks,
Arlene

Hi Kristen- I promoted your books a couple of years ago when you still were in California – little did I know then I would eventually be eating RAW. I spent three weeks at a place called Hippocrates in West Palm Beach, FL detoxing all the nasty stuff from my body – they serve 100% Raw. Now I’m happy I purchased all of your recipe books way back when. Just wanted you to know I’ve listed your web site with a community Hippocrates email we set up so hundreds of people are checking you out – I really hope they purchase your books. So far all the feedback I’ve received has been 100% terrific. Congratulations on your marriage and upcoming birth of your first child. This certainly will be a special Mother’s Day for you. I am committed at 3:00 PM on Friday, but delighted to learn I can come back later to see a recorded version of your broadcast. All the best! Cathie Spurrier

Hi everyone!
I think we had a problem because Tera didn’t show up. I hope she’s OK!!!! I spoke with two women who called in. One was Linda (I think from Minnesota?) and the other I didn’t catch her name but I think she was in Dallas. I’d like to offer those two ladies a complete set of my ebooks in appreciation of their calling in.
Tera,
If you can find out the emails addresses of these women, I’ll send them my ebooks.
Cheers,
Kristen

Hi Kristen,
I’m the one from Dallas that talked with you – I think I have all of your books already (maybe missing one or two – I’ll have to look) in hard copy (I work in the printing industry, so I like to support my industry). I do appreciate the offer though, just hope everything is OK with Terra like you said.
Hope you have a wonderful mother’s day!!!
Peace and blessings,
Mirra

I was on the call (via the web) and it was quite interesting to see how it went. I was working so was connected for about 1/2 hr. It was nice to hear you Kristen! I tried to use the chat feature, but it wasn’t working for some reason.
And Kristen, I think you were right on where those lovely ladies were from. I can’t imagine the lady from Dallas being on the telephone for 1/2 hr with nothing to listen to….
Looking forward to the call when it happens
